DUI-Related Crashes in New Mexico

Driving under the influence is a leading cause of severe accidents across New Mexico, often resulting in tragic consequences for innocent victims. Reckless and impaired drivers pose a grave risk to others, as seen in the crash at Rodeo Rd and Galisteo Rd, which left two young children with serious injuries.

New Mexico has strict DUI laws designed to deter reckless behavior and protect its residents. However, enforcement is critical to preventing repeat offenses by individuals like Ortiz-Delgado, who reportedly has a history of traffic violations and prior legal issues.

Victims of DUI-related crashes often face extensive medical treatments, emotional trauma, and financial strain. Families may pursue legal action to secure compensation for damages, including medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
