Roswell, NM – Fatal Hit-and-Run Incident Near South Main Street and Burkett Rd Results in One Fatality

Roswell, NM (July 25, 2023) – Authorities are searching for a vehicle linked to a fatal hit-and-run incident near South Main Street and Burkett Road in south Roswell on Monday, 24th, 2023.
The tragic incident claimed the life of a 21-year-old woman.
Upon responding to the scene at approximately 1:20 a.m., Roswell police discovered the young woman’s lifeless body on the road.
Witnesses at the scene reported seeing an orange sports car fleeing from the area with black stripes.
Initial assessments suggest that the vehicle in question could be a Chevrolet Camaro.
The car may exhibit damage to the front end, windshield, hood, or roof, making it distinct and easier to identify.
