Medanales, NM – Fatal Head-On Collision Claims Four Lives on US-84

Medanales, NM (December 14, 2023) – Tragedy struck on Saturday, December 9, as a head-on collision resulted in the loss of four lives outside Medanales. The fatal incident occurred on US-84 near mile marker 202 at approximately 3:30 a.m., according to New Mexico State Police reports.

For reasons yet unknown, a 2000 Jeep Cherokee and a 2019 GMC pickup truck collided head-on, causing both vehicles to erupt in flames. All four occupants suffered fatal injuries. The victims, identified as Toure Tsosie, Sean Montoya, Guillermo Terrazas, and Isaiah Gonzales, lost their lives in the impactful crash.
