Bernalillo, NM – Motorcyclist Injured in Collision with SUV on Sunset Rd

Bernalillo, NM (July 28, 2024) – A motorcycle crash occurred on Sunday, July 28, around 7:00 p.m. near Sunset Rd and Fairhaven Ave. The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of the incident.

Dexter, NM – Fatal Car Accident on Hwy 285

Dexter, NM (July 25, 2024) – A teenager died, and multiple others were injured in a car accident on Sunday, July 21. New Mexico State Police reported the crash occurred just before 7 p.m. at an intersection on Hwy 285 between Dexter and Roswell.

A car driven by a 16-year-old with 18-year-old Angela Andrews as a passenger crossed the road prematurely and was struck by another vehicle. Both were severely injured and flown to an El Paso hospital, where Andrews later died.

Albuquerque, NM – Fatal Pedestrian Accident at 4th St NW and Solar Rd NW

Albuquerque, NM (July 20, 2024) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle Friday, July 19 night at 4th St NW and Solar Rd NW. The crash occurred during heavy rain.

APD reported that a 2022 Ford pickup traveling south on 4th St swerved to avoid another car. The driver then saw a pedestrian in the road and hit them. Witnesses stated the pedestrian was walking east on 4th St when hit, landing 30 feet away.

The pedestrian was taken to UNMH with serious injuries and later died. Officials say neither alcohol nor speed played a role. The investigation continues, with more details to be shared as they become available.

Albuquerque, NM – Fatal Crash Involving SUV on I-25 Northbound near Paseo del Norte

Albuquerque, NM (July 18, 2024) – New Mexico State Police are investigating a fatal crash on I-25 northbound, just north of Paseo del Norte. The crash involved a red SUV that collided with a concrete barrier. The SUV’s airbags, including side curtain airbags, deployed.

Public Service Aides from the Albuquerque Police Department assisted with traffic control. While I-25 NB has partially reopened, the right two lanes and the on-ramp remain closed.

Albuquerque, NM – Fatal Crash Involving Fleeing Vehicle at Marquette Ave and Espanola St

Albuquerque, NM (July 18, 2024) – One person died and another was injured in a crash on Wednesday, July 17. The incident occurred around 4:20 p.m. near Marquette Ave and Espanola St.

Albuquerque police attempted to stop a vehicle near Central and Pennsylvania. The vehicle fled, and officers used a Star Chase device to track it. The fleeing vehicle then crashed into a second vehicle. Officers found two injured people at the scene, with one pronounced dead on site. Police took the fleeing driver into custody.

Albuquerque, NM – Pedestrian Critically Injured in Crash at Eubank Blvd and Central Ave

Albuquerque, NM (July 15, 2024) – A male pedestrian was critically injured in a crash at Eubank Blvd and Central Ave on Saturday night, July 13. The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. when the intoxicated man, who had just been asked to leave a Circle K gas station, attempted to cross Eubank Blvd.

A gold Honda SUV struck the man in the center lane, causing significant injuries. Emergency responders transported the pedestrian to the University of New Mexico Hospital in critical condition. The driver was not intoxicated, and speed was not a factor in the crash.
