Albuquerque, NM (June 27, 2024) – A fatal crash involving a 2021 white Jeep and a 2013 silver Chevrolet SUV occurred late Wednesday night, June 26. The Albuquerque Police Department reports the SUV, heading westbound on Lomas Blvd and attempting a left turn onto northbound Pennsylvania St, collided with the Jeep.
The impact caused the Jeep to strike a telephone pole and overturn. Tragically, the Jeep’s driver, trapped inside, succumbed to injuries at the scene. Emergency responders extracted the driver but were unable to save them. The SUV driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to the University of New Mexico Hospital.
