Albuquerque, NM (August 21, 2023) – A man died after a vehicle hit him while crossing Central Avenue near Utah Street on Sunday, August 20, 2023.
Witnesses reported the car, heading west on Central Avenue, struck the man and fled.
The victim died on-site.
Following the crash, police closed the westbound lanes of Central Avenue between Virginia Street and Utah.
The investigation is still ongoing.
