Las Cruces, NM (August 9, 2023) – A fatal crash occurred on Lohman Avenue, resulting in the death of a man.
Alfonso Rodriguez Chavez, 45, was killed in a car accident at the intersection of Lohman and Nacho at 4 a.m. on Tuesday, August 8, 2023.
Officials say Chavez was driving east on Lohman Avenue when he lost control of his truck and crashed into a boulder in the median.
Officers arrived to find Chavez unresponsive. The Las Cruces hospital couldn’t save him from his wounds.
The police are looking into what caused the crash.
