Las Cruces, NM (August 7, 2023) – On Sunday afternoon, August 6, 2023, a pedestrian was struck and killed by a train.
It happened at about 2:00 in the afternoon near the intersection of Lohman and Amador avenues.
There is a lack of information about the deceased pedestrian, according to the Las Cruces Police Department.
The northbound train has stopped on the tracks between Amador and Avenida de Mesilla in Las Cruces after being involved in an accident.
While the LCPD looks into the collision, drivers are asked to avoid the area.
