Vado, NM – Hit-and-Run Crash at State Road 478 near Franco Road Results in Critical Injuries

Vado, NM (August 3, 2023) – A hit-and-run crash occurred in Vado, resulting in critical injuries to one pedestrian.

The incident happened around 6 a.m. on State Road 478 near Franco Road on Tuesday, August 1st, 2023.

A vehicle traveling south on the state road struck a male victim.

He was airlifted to a hospital in El Paso for treatment, but his identity has not been disclosed yet, according to New Mexico State Police (NMSP).

The vehicle involved in the hit-and-run is believed to be a Ford pickup truck or SUV and is reported to have sustained headlight damage.
