Albuquerque, NM (September 6, 2024) – Two fatal accidents occurred between Thursday night and early Friday morning in Albuquerque. The first incident happened around 9:40 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, near Trumbull St and Grove St. A speeding vehicle struck a pedestrian, who died from her injuries at the scene. The driver fled, and the second pedestrian managed to avoid being hit.
Later, at approximately 4 a.m. on Friday, September 6, police responded to a crash near Juan Tabo Blvd and Montgomery Blvd. A vehicle hit a pole, caught fire, and resulted in one death. The passenger was hospitalized.
Authorities are investigating both crashes and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
