Albuquerque, NM (September 8, 2024) – A pedestrian was fatally struck late Thursday night in a hit-and-run incident on Trumbull Ave near Grove St SE. The accident occurred around 9:40 p.m. when two pedestrians were walking in the roadway.
A dark-colored vehicle, possibly a truck or jeep, speeding westbound, hit one of the pedestrians. The female victim sustained significant injuries and was declared deceased at the scene by Albuquerque Fire Rescue.
APD’s Fatal Crash Unit is actively investigating the crash. Further details will be provided as the inquiry into the cause of the incident progresses.
